Constructing Phuoc An Bridge to connect Phu My town with Nhon Trach district

The People's Council of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province held the 17th meeting and approved the investment principle for Phuoc An Bridge Project to connect Phu My town to Nhon Trach city, Dong Nai province. This is a sectional part of the Cai Mep - Thi Vai inter-ports road project, crossing Thi Vai River to connect Phu My town, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province with Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province; from there it can access to Ben Luc - Long Thanh express way.

In 2009, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province approved the Cai Mep - Thi Vai inter-ports road project, which is divided into 2 phases to implement. The First phase, it constructs inter-ports road the length of 19.65km. The Second phase, it constructs Phuoc An Bridge, crossing Thi Vai river with the length of 3.26km. Currently, The construction of the first phase has been completed and put into use.

Phuoc An Bridge Project is a publish invested project under Group A with total investment of 4,879 billion VND from government budget. In which, investment capital from provincial budget is 59%, central budget is 41%; construction cost is more than 3,750 billion VND. The project is expected to be constructed and completed within 5 years from the date of commencement of construction.

Phuoc An Bridge is the important connection section, which is determining the connection between the Cai Mep - Thi Vai Inter-Port Road with Nhon Trach, Dong Nai province, especially Nhon Trach industrial zones and expressway system in the region; thereby connecting the entire group of seaports No.5 with the Southeast region and the South West region; creating favorable conditions for investors in Nhon Trach industrial zones to transport goods through Cai Mep - Thi Vai port as well as  attracting more goods sources and improving the operational capacity rate of ports; contributing to the development of logistics services... according to the policy of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province;

In addition, the project also helps ease traffic-jams, reducing the pressure for National Road No.51 and other routes; contribute to socio-economic development of surrounding provinces and the southern key economic region.

Adjacent to Cai Mep - Thi Vai Ports, IDICO has 02 industrial parks which are Phu My 2 IP and Phu My 2 Expansion IP with total area of ​​1,027 ha. In which, the it has 300ha of available industrial land for investors lease to build immediately.
